About the Position AlphaGraphics Brentwood is seeking an experienced, dependable, and mechanically skilled Sign Installer & Print Production Specialist. This is a varied, hands-on position combining professional sign and graphics installation with in-shop print production and finishing. Some days will involve installing wall graphics, window graphics, dimensional lettering, vehicle graphics, signs, and displays at customer locations. Other days will be spent producing and finishing those products in our Brentwood production center. We are looking for someone who takes pride in craftsmanship, can solve practical problems, works safely, and understands the importance of completing every job accurately and professionally. Primary Responsibilities Sign and Graphics Installation Install interior and exterior signs, vinyl graphics, wall murals, window and door graphics, floor graphics, dimensional lettering, sign panels, banners, and displays. Install vehicle lettering, decals, spot graphics, and partial or full vehicle wraps based on experience. Conduct site surveys and collect accurate measurements, photographs, surface information, access details, and installation requirements. Prepare surfaces and determine appropriate placement, mounting methods, hardware, adhesives, and tools. Use ladders, lifts, hand tools, power tools, and installation equipment safely. Identify surface, access, measurement, or installation concerns before proceeding. Protect customer property and maintain a clean, professional work area. Document completed work with photographs and communicate any remaining items or concerns. Represent AlphaGraphics professionally while working at customer locations. Print and Sign Production Operate large-format printers, laminators, vinyl cutters, and finishing equipment after completing equipment-specific training. Prepare vinyl graphics through laminating, trimming, weeding, masking, mounting, and finishing. Produce and prepare signs, decals, banners, wall graphics, displays, and vehicle graphics for installation. Review job tickets for correct materials, dimensions, quantities, finishing requirements, and deadlines. Support digital print production, including paper loading, output inspection, cutting, and finishing. Assist with bindery processes such as cutting, folding, scoring, drilling, padding, coil binding, laminating, and booklet assembly. Perform quality-control checks throughout production. Package completed work for customer pickup, delivery, or installation. Keep equipment, tools, vehicles, and production areas clean and organized. Required Qualifications At least one year of relevant professional experience in sign installation, vinyl installation, sign production, large-format production, or a closely related field. Demonstrated ability to take accurate measurements and interpret job tickets, drawings, and installation instructions. Experience using hand tools, power tools, ladders, and production or installation equipment. Comfortable working at heights and using ladders or lifts. Strong mechanical aptitude and practical problem-solving ability. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to work independently and collaborate with production, design, customer service, and management. Dependable, punctual, organized, and able to manage changing priorities. Professional communication skills when interacting with customers and team members. Valid driver's license and a driving record acceptable under company insurance requirements. Ability to travel to customer locations throughout the Nashville area. Preferred Experience Commercial sign and graphics installation. Wall murals, window graphics, dimensional lettering, and exterior signage. Vehicle lettering, vehicle graphics, partial wraps, or full vehicle wraps. Large-format printing, laminating, vinyl cutting, mounting, and finishing. Digital printing or commercial bindery equipment. Aerial lifts, construction sites, mounting systems, and jobsite safety. Vinyl films, laminates, adhesives, sign substrates, and installation hardware. Physical and Scheduling Requirements Lift and carry materials, tools, signs, and boxes weighing up to approximately 50 pounds independently. Assist with heavier or oversized items using team-lifting practices or appropriate equipment. Stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, climb, reach, and work with your hands for extended periods. Work indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures and weather conditions. Work safely from ladders, lifts, scaffolding, or other approved access equipment. Work a full-time schedule. Occasional early-morning, evening, or weekend work may be required based on installation schedules and customer access. Compensation and Benefits $20-$23 per hour, based on relevant experience and demonstrated capabilities. Full-time, year-round employment. Paid holiday leave.
