Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as a Small Engine Technician and Lawn Mower Specialist, where your expertise will keep outdoor power equipment running smoothly and efficiently. In this energetic role, you will diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of small engines, including lawn mowers, trimmers, chainsaws, and other outdoor equipment. Your mechanical skills and passion for problem-solving will directly contribute to customer satisfaction and the seamless operation of our service department. Duties Diagnose and troubleshoot issues on small engines, including carburetor problems, electrical faults, and mechanical failures using schematics and diagnostic tools Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, blade sharpening, spark plug replacements, and fuel system servicing Repair and rebuild various types of lawn mowers, snow blowers, generators, and other outdoor power equipment with precision Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering irons, and electrical diagnostics to complete repairs efficiently Conduct electrical work including wiring repairs, electrical diagnostics, and testing of engine components to ensure optimal performance Follow safety protocols during manual handling of heavy equipment and parts while maintaining a clean and organized workspace Communicate clearly with customers about repair needs, timelines, and maintenance tips to enhance their experience Experience Proven dealership or service technician experience working with small engines or outdoor power equipment Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in engine repair, equipment troubleshooting, and mechanical systems repair Familiarity with schematics for electrical wiring diagrams and engine components is highly desirable Experience in diesel engine repair or automotive repair is a plus but not required Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks associated with equipment maintenance Knowledge of power generation systems or heavy machinery such as Caterpillar equipment is advantageous Excellent customer service skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to clients Join us if you're passionate about machinery maintenance and eager to develop your skills in a fast-paced environment.
