Job Description
On-Site Maintenance Technician - Multifamily Property A multifamily residential property in Kingsport, TN is seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician to support day-to-day property operations. This role is essential to maintaining the condition, safety, and livability of the community while ensuring residents receive timely and professional service. Key Responsibilities Perform routine and preventative maintenance, daily repairs, and general upkeep of the property Prepare units for move-in and move-out Ensure maintenance parts, supplies, and equipment are stocked and available Assemble, install, and repair electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and electronic systems Diagnose mechanical issues and determine appropriate corrective actions using manuals, blueprints, and parts catalogs Maintain interior and exterior conditions of the property Respond promptly and efficiently to maintenance requests submitted through a digital work order system Report unusual or extraordinary property or resident-related issues to management Communicate regularly with the Property Manager regarding work orders and maintenance concerns Assist with coordinating vendors and obtaining bids for special projects Be available for on-call coverage on a rotating and reasonable basis Follow OSHA standards and all safety policies at all times Requirements High school diploma, GED, or equivalent Minimum of 2 to 3 years of building or property maintenance experience preferred HVAC certification preferred Ability to operate hand and power tools Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Fluent in written and spoken English Valid U.S. driver's license and reliable transportation Eligibility to work in the United States Ability to pass a background check and drug screening Position Type Full-time, on-site position in
