Full-Time About Us B&B Properties owns and manages a diverse portfolio of commercial and residential properties, including office and medical properties as well as residential units throughout the Oak Ridge, TN area. We're looking for a hands-on Maintenance Technician to help keep our properties running smoothly for our tenants and residents. Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician with 3-5 years of combined commercial and residential property maintenance experience. This role is responsible for the upkeep, repair, and general maintenance of our office, medical, and residential properties, ensuring safe, functional, and well-maintained spaces for tenants. Key Responsibilities Perform routine and preventive maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems Respond promptly to tenant maintenance requests and emergency repair calls Conduct regular property inspections to identify and address maintenance needs Complete repairs on doors, locks, flooring, drywall, paint, fixtures, and general building components Maintain exterior grounds, parking lots, and common areas as needed Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors for specialized repairs Maintain accurate records of work orders, repairs, and preventive maintenance schedules Ensure compliance with safety codes and regulations Support move-in/move-out turnover work for residential units Be available for on-call/emergency maintenance as needed Qualifications 3-5 years of experience in commercial and residential property maintenance Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general carpentry Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot building system issues Strong communication skills and a customer service mindset when working with tenants Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks (climbing ladders, kneeling, standing for extended periods) HVAC certification, EPA 608 certification, or other trade certifications a plus High school diploma or equivalent What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience [Benefits — health insurance, PTO, etc.] Stable, growing portfolio with variety across property types
Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
