Role:
The 2nd shift Maintenance Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing facility in Buffalo, TX. This position is responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on various mechanical systems, which directly impacts production efficiency and safety. The technician will troubleshoot and resolve issues related to mechanical repairs, plumbing, and electrical wiring, ensuring that all equipment is functioning optimally. Additionally, the role involves maintaining a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols and regulations. Ultimately, the Maintenance Technician contributes to minimizing downtime and enhancing the overall productivity of the manufacturing process.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Proven experience as a maintenance technician or similar role. Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and fluid systems. Welding and fabrication experience. Able to work with 240 and 480 volt and systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in HVAC or electrical systems. Experience in a manufacturing environment. Familiarity with safety regulations and practices.
Responsibilities:
Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment. Perform repairs on plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems as needed. Utilize precision measuring tools to ensure accurate repairs and installations. Utilize welding skills as needed. Document maintenance activities and report any significant issues to management.
Skills:
Electrical wiring: troubleshoot, repair, and install equipment during production. Steam & fluid systems: diagnose and maintain piping, valves, pumps, regulators, and related instrumentation.
Mechanical repair:
perform tear-downs, part replacement, alignment, and reassembly to restore equipment performance.
Precision measurement:
verify repairs/installations meet spec using calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, etc.
Work at heights:
safely climb ladders and access elevated areas as needed. Communication & teamwork: clearly document work and collaborate with operators, maintenance, and leadership.
