Live-In Resort Maintenance Technician Burton, TX 77835 Full-time Full-time Overview Job Summary & Housing Perk Are you a jack-of-all-trades looking for a beautiful place to call home? We are offering a unique opportunity for a skilled maintenance professional to live and work on our gorgeous ranch. For the right candidate, private on-site lodging (including utilities) is provided completely free of charge as part of your compensation package. Because you will be living on-site, you will be our go-to person for keeping the property in tip-top shape and handling occasional after-hours maintenance emergencies. No. of Vacancies 1
Specific Skills Qualifications & Skills Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in general maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, landscaping.
Technical Skills:
Strong, demonstrable proficiency in both plumbing and electrical troubleshooting is required.
Mindset:
Highly independent, resourceful, and a natural problem solver. You take pride in ownership and treat the property as if it were your own.
Characteristics:
Trustworthy, reliable, and respectful of guest privacy and ranch boundaries.
Requirements:
Must possess a valid driver's license and pass a standard background check.
Responsible For Responsibilities Plumbing:
Diagnose and repair leaks, clear drains, fix or replace fixtures (faucets, toilets, water heaters), and maintain basic water systems.
Electrical:
Troubleshoot minor electrical issues, replace light fixtures, switches, outlets, and ensure exterior/interior lighting is fully functional.
General Maintenance:
Handle drywall repairs, painting, basic carpentry, lock replacements, and minor appliance repairs.
Property Upkeep:
Conduct regular preventative maintenance walk-throughs of guest cabins, event spaces, and staff areas to catch and fix issues early.
Emergency Response:
Serve as the primary on-site contact for urgent maintenance needs outside of standard business hours. Job Nature Full Time Experience Requirements 5+
