Job Description

The Maintenance Technician will be solely responsible for facility maintenance. This includes building maintenance, electrical repair, indoor lighting maintenance, some HVAC maintenance such as filters and HVAC unit cleaning. The Maintenance Technician will also be responsible for plant maintenance including troubleshooting and repairing equipment. The maintenance issues can range in complexity from simple to difficult. Position reports to the Maintenance Manager and will accomplish work as tasked by their immediate supervisor, Plant Manager or Director (s) of Manufacturing and Operations. Position does not have any direct reports.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Strong Mechanical and electrical knowledge Ability to read and follow electrical and mechanical schematics. Ability to comprehend complex technical topics and specialized information Move/Install new and existing equipment throughout the plant as needed Perform maintenance and support duties, both planned and unplanned. Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance according to the established schedule Runs diagnostic tests (troubleshooting) on malfunctioning equipment and performs repairs and preventive/predictive maintenance activities in all areas of plant expeditiously to eliminate downtime. Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts, using hoists, cranes, hand tools, and power tools. Capable of carrying out a given task with all details necessary (detail oriented) to get the task done well Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements, using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments. Maintain all shop and building equipment such as forklifts, HVAC systems, Generators Maintain consistent records of maintenance on all equipment Maintain supplies for facility lighting and HVAC maintenance Maintain a safe work environment and follow safety polices. ABILITIES
Must have a minimum of 4 years of Industrial Maintenance experience Must pass background check Must pass pre-employment drug test and non-DOT physical Comply with OSHA Safety and Health Rules. Technical training; exposure to high-speed equipment Ability to read and understand documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, mechanical drawings and procedure manual. Knowledge of PLC's, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems is desired. Willing and able to work at heights, in confined spaces, over water and in hot or cold weather conditions Willing to work overtime, weekends, and any shift when necessary to keep equipment functioning to meet customer demands. Must have state issued Driver's License and have reliable transportation Must have their own tools (drills, impacts, wrenches, drill bits, multimeter, sockets etc.)
