Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Hotel Maintenance Technician, where your expertise in facilities maintenance and repair will ensure our hotel operates smoothly and provides an exceptional guest experience. This energetic role involves diagnosing and resolving a wide range of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and building interior issues. You'll be the go-to professional for maintaining the comfort, safety, and aesthetic appeal of our property, contributing to a welcoming environment for guests and staff alike. Your proactive approach and technical skills will keep our facilities in top condition, supporting the overall success of our hotel. Duties Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC systems, electrical equipment, plumbing systems, and building interior components to ensure optimal operation. Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues using schematics, electrical equipment repair techniques, and tools such as ohmmeters. Conduct welding, carpentry, painting, and general facilities maintenance to uphold the hotel's appearance and structural integrity. Maintain plumbing systems by repairing leaks, replacing fixtures, and ensuring proper operation of plumbing systems. Use hand tools and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to diagnose problems and implement effective solutions quickly. Follow safety protocols while working with electrical systems, HVAC units, and mechanical equipment to prevent hazards. Assist with maintenance painting projects to enhance the aesthetic quality of interior spaces. Lead or collaborate with team members on complex repairs or renovations requiring mechanical knowledge or specialized skills. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, schematics, and repair logs for ongoing facility management. Respond promptly to guest requests or issues related to facilities to ensure high levels of customer service. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge combined with experience in electrical work, plumbing, HVAC system repair, and building interior maintenance. Proficiency with schematics, electrical equipment repair tools such as ohmmeters, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs). Skilled in welding, carpentry (including residential painting), maintenance painting, and general facilities equipment maintenance. Ability to read technical diagrams and schematics accurately for troubleshooting complex systems. Excellent hand tool skills with a focus on electrical equipment repair and plumbing system maintenance. Knowledge of maintenance, repair & operations (MRO) practices within a hospitality environment. Effective communication skills in English to coordinate with team members and assist guests professionally. Leadership qualities that enable guiding junior staff or leading small projects when necessary. Familiarity with building safety standards related to electrical work, HVAC systems, plumbing, and interior maintenance.
