We own and operate a portfolio of five apartment communities throughout the Houston area and work closely with Asset Living to provide quality housing and excellent resident service. Our company culture is highly team-oriented, and we are looking for someone who takes pride in their work and understands the importance of preparing apartment homes for new residents. This is a hands-on position focused primarily on apartment turns and make-ready work. The ideal candidate will have experience in painting, interior unit repairs, unit preparation, hvac, and general maintenance. Bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates are strongly encouraged to apply. Compensation & Benefits Starting Pay - $30.00 per hour Full-Time Position Free on-site apartment (after successfully completing 90 day period) Utilities are not included and remain the responsibility of the employee/resident. Additional details will be discussed during the interview process. Prepare vacant units for new residents by ensuring all work meets company standards. Perform painting, patching, texture repair, and touch-up work. Repair or replace damaged fixtures, blinds, doors, locks, cabinets, and hardware. Complete minor plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repairs as needed. Install and repair cabinetry, shelving, appliances, and other apartment components. Inspect HVAC system and perform repairs if needed. Assist with cleaning and final inspections of vacant units. Report any major maintenance issues to the Lead Maintenance Technician or Property Manager. Maintain organized inventory of supplies and materials. Assist with property maintenance tasks, grounds upkeep, and work orders when needed. Ensure all work is completed safely and efficiently. Handle emergency on-call repairs as needed. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED preferred. Previous apartment make-ready experience strongly preferred. Experience with painting, drywall repair, texture matching, and apartment turns required. Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general maintenance. Experience with cabinet installation and repair preferred. Certifications in Boiler, HVAC, Pools, Plumbing, and Electrical are preferred. Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high-quality workmanship. Vinyl installation and repair experience. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Reliable transportation and consistent attendance required. Must possess basic hand tools necessary to perform daily job duties. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 100 pounds. Frequent lifting and carrying of up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and perform physical labor throughout the workday. Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and painting equipment.
