This vital role involves performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems to provide guests with a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise, leadership qualities, and a proactive attitude to maintain the highest standards of facility performance. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute directly to guest satisfaction and operational excellence in a fast-paced hospitality setting. Responsibilities Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC systems, electrical wiring, plumbing fixtures, and mechanical equipment to ensure optimal functioning. Diagnose and repair issues related to electrical systems using schematics, wiring diagrams, and testing tools such as ohmmeters. Perform welding, residential painting, and other handyman tasks to address facility repairs and upgrades. Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation systems within the hotel infrastructure. Manage facilities maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track work orders and maintenance history. Supervise maintenance projects by coordinating with contractors, overseeing work quality, and ensuring safety compliance. Maintain detailed records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance schedules; utilize schematics for troubleshooting complex systems. Lead a team of maintenance staff by providing guidance, training, and supervision to uphold high standards of service delivery. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards while delivering exceptional customer service to guests and staff alike. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in facilities maintenance within hospitality or manufacturing environments. Proficiency in electrical systems troubleshooting and repair; familiarity with schematics is essential. Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used in building automation systems. Skilled in welding techniques and residential painting for facility upgrades or repairs. Ability to read technical schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings accurately. Experience with CMMS software for scheduling maintenance tasks and documenting work history. Excellent leadership skills with supervising experience in a team-oriented environment. Competency in using testing tools such as ohmmeters for electrical diagnostics; basic plumbing skills are also desirable. Effective communication skills in English to coordinate with team members, vendors, and management seamlessly.
