Overview Join our dynamic hospitality team as a Hotel Maintenance Technician, where your expertise will ensure the seamless operation and upkeep of our facility. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal of our hotel environment. Your proactive approach and technical skills will contribute to providing an exceptional guest experience by ensuring all building systems and equipment operate efficiently and reliably. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and facilities maintenance knowledge in a fast-paced, service-oriented setting. Duties Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on HVAC systems, electrical equipment, plumbing systems, and building interior components to ensure optimal operation. Troubleshoot and repair various facilities equipment, including lighting, heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), plumbing fixtures, and electrical systems using schematics and technical manuals. Conduct welding, carpentry, painting, and other handyman tasks to maintain the hotel's interior and exterior appearance. Use hand tools, electrical testing devices such as ohmmeters, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to diagnose issues accurately and execute repairs efficiently. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and parts used; interpret schematics for complex electrical or mechanical systems. Lead small teams or coordinate with contractors for specialized repairs or large-scale projects while ensuring safety protocols are followed. Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests or staff to resolve issues swiftly while maintaining high customer service standards. Experience Proven experience in facilities maintenance or building operations within a hospitality or residential environment. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in electrical work, plumbing system maintenance and repair, HVAC system repair, and building interior maintenance. Familiarity with schematics, technical manuals, and troubleshooting tools such as ohmmeters for electrical diagnostics. Skilled in welding, carpentry (including residential painting), maintenance painting, and general handyman tasks. Experience working with maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) procedures in a fast-paced setting. Ability to communicate effectively in English with team members and guests alike; leadership skills are a plus for supervising junior staff or contractors. Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is advantageous for managing automated building systems.
