Power Generation Operator / Maintenance Technician -
Day Shift Location:
Marshall, Texas Schedule:
13-hour day shifts, 7 days on / 7 days offCompensation:
$48,000 per year, plus overtime Job Overview A full-time Power Generation Operator / Maintenance Technician is needed for a 5-megawatt biomass power plant in Marshall, Texas. This is a hands-on industrial position, not solely a control-room monitoring position. The employee is responsible for power generation , including the operation and maintenance of both the boiler and turbine generator . The position requires active monitoring, troubleshooting, and mechanical maintenance to ensure safe and efficient plant operations. No prior power plant experience is required — all training will be provided. Responsibilities- Operate, monitor, and adjust boiler and turbine generator systems to maintain reliable power production
- Perform hands-on mechanical maintenance and repairs on plant equipment
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on boilers, turbines, and auxiliary systems
- Troubleshoot system malfunctions, leaks, or performance issues , and make necessary adjustments
- Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with operational standards Requirements
- Ability to perform the physical requirements of a hands-on industrial position
- Strong attention to detail and self-motivation
- Basic math skills required
- Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and follow safety protocols
- Must live within 30 miles of the facility
