We are looking for someone with a desire to train and learn, someone who has a great rapport with their team and who simply just enjoys working with people! Keeping our hotel running smoothly is vital to our guest's experience - as Maintenance Representative you will keep everything looking sharp and running like clockwork. From simple repairs to forward thinking for the next day. With naturally high standards to support our own, you will approach every task with devotion and pride. Maintenance engineer is responsible for the maintenance of the hotel's building and grounds and the operation of its equipment and mechanical/electrical systems. In a larger property this may be a supervisory employee. Your day-to-day Repair or replace items around the hotel and refurbish items in guest rooms. By keeping on top of these tasks, you will keep our hotels looking great and working well. Organize supplies and make sure equipment is ready for the next day Take responsibility for the safety and cleanliness of areas inside and outside the hotel, like the car park and pool Always keep an eye out for improvements - follow the preventative maintenance calendar and keep everything working and efficient Keep your supervisor or duty manager in the loop and tell them about any low running supplies Be ready to take on extra duties as and when the team needs you Reviewing maintenance problems, complaints, and work orders to prioritize and schedule work assignments. Monitoring and inspecting assigned work. Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing malfunctioning electrical/mechanical systems and equipment. Inspecting property to identify potential and current needs. Planning and executing on-going appropriate maintenance programs. Estimating department expenditures for budget purposes and assisting with the capital budget process. Soliciting bids from contractors, evaluating their proposals, and once employed, ensuring work is completed to specifications. Coordinating with local health, safety, fire and building inspectors to ensure compliance with all applicable codes and regulations. Performing preventive maintenance assignments on a scheduled basis. Servicing the hotel's pool, including adjusting chemicals, and cleaning filters. Completing maintenance logs. Maintaining the building exterior if not serviced by a contractor (e.g. snow removal, lawn care, painting). Recruiting, selecting, and training a skilled and motivated work force. Listening and responding to guests' requests or complaints Live up to high safety standards - follow guidelines and tell your supervisor about any incidents, dangerous conditions, or unsafe equipment Be a friendly face and helping hand to our guests Look smart and approachable in your uniform
