Job Description

We are a family-owned and operated business that is seeking a qualified, or highly interested and motivated, individual to join our team in completing Aerobic Septic Tank Inspections and Repairs to preserve the good condition and functionality of Standard and Aerobic Septic Systems, residential and commercial. A Maintenance Technician is a thorough professional with a practical mind and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter and will responsibly observe all health and safety guidelines and have some electrical/plumbing background. The goal is to maintain standard and aerobic systems in their best possible condition. The company will provide equipment and tools, uniform shirts, field training, and continued education. Our service area is Comal, Guadalupe, Hays, Gonzales, Bexar and Wilson Counties, but also extends further for commercial systems. Technicians will be required to drive an average of 100-150 miles per day to each customer location to inspect/troubleshoot/repair the septic system. Basic knowledge of GPS and a good driving record is required. Plumbing/electrical skills are a plus, shoveling/digging is required on occasion. Must be able to work in Texas weather conditions. Responsibilities Inspect septic systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety standards. Perform maintenance on septic systems (replace pumps, floats, etc) Complete Service Calls when dispatched. Report all completed inspection paperwork to manager. Assist in the set-up of systems and conduct repairs when necessary. Maintain work area. Conduct general upkeep procedures (truck and shop) and other tasks as assigned. Skills Proven experience as a maintenance technician Basic understanding of plumbing and electrical Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods Working knowledge of tools & equipment Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills Good physical condition and strength with a willingness to work overtime Flexibility a must. Some weekends or travel may be required High school diploma or equivalent Valid and active Texas Driver License Basic knowledge of iPad functions is a plus
