About the
Role:
As a CBRE Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing a variety of preventive and reactive maintenance tasks, focusing primarily on HVAC and plumbing to support the critical healthcare environment on our 1st shift in Plano, Tx. This role is crucial for ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of building systems across two adjacent hospital campuses. This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.
What You'll Do:
Perform diverse maintenance tasks across two adjacent hospital facilities. Conduct routine maintenance inspections, diagnose potential problems, and execute necessary repairs promptly. Carry out a variety of maintenance tasks, including specific duties related to HVAC systems, plumbing, and electrical systems. Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and other building systems to ensure optimal functionality and extend asset lifespan. Assist with general facility maintenance, such as hanging pictures and moving furniture, excluding painting or patching drywall. Complete assigned work orders efficiently and accurately. Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to track, manage, and complete all work orders, ensuring accurate record-keeping and system integrity. Respond to and resolve emergency maintenance tickets in a timely manner to minimize disruption to hospital operations. Interact professionally and courteously with hospital staff, patients, and visitors, providing high-quality customer service. Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems. Exchange straightforward information in a clear, concise manner. Impact team through defined duties, methods and tasks as described in detail. Deliver own output by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance.
What You'll Need:
High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1-2 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Proven experience in building maintenance, with demonstrated expertise in HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems. Proficiency in diagnosing issues and performing repairs on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing infrastructure. Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more. Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work. Communication skills to exchange straightforward information. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
