Plano, TX About the Role Our Make Ready Specialists play a critical role in creating a safe, clean, and welcoming community for our current and future residents. As a Make-Ready Specialist, you'll support the day-to-day maintenance operations of the apartment community, complete apartment turns, respond to service needs, and help maintain the overall appearance of the property. What You'll Do Complete apartment turns/make-readies, including repairs, touch-ups, cleaning, and preparation for new residents. Respond to resident maintenance requests in a timely, professional, and courteous manner. Perform routine property and grounds upkeep, including trash removal, light landscaping, and maintaining common areas. Perform basic maintenance and repairs involving plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, HVAC, and other building systems. Complete preventative maintenance tasks to help keep equipment and property systems operating properly. Identify maintenance issues and communicate larger repair needs to management. Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment. Work as part of a team and assist with other reasonable duties necessary to support the community and residents. What We're Looking For High School Diploma or GED required. At least 1 year of apartment maintenance, make-ready, or groundskeeping experience preferred. Basic working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems. Ability to troubleshoot and complete routine maintenance and repair tasks. Must have and be able to provide/use your own basic hand tools. Strong customer-service skills and the ability to communicate professionally with residents, prospective residents, vendors, and team members. Dependable, organized, self-motivated, and able to work independently as well as part of a team. Ability to prioritize multiple maintenance requests and respond appropriately to emergencies. Ability to safely perform the physical requirements of the position, including standing, walking, lifting, bending, climbing, and working in various indoor and outdoor conditions. Why Join Us?
