Donation Attendant & Handyman

Job Summary We are seeking a versatile Donation Attendant & Handyman to join our team! In this energetic role, you will be the friendly face welcoming donors, customers and volunteers. Duties Greet donors, customers and volunteers warmly, providing exceptional customer service and team collaboration skills Assist with sorting, processing, and organizing donated items Operate warehouse equipment to safely load, unload, and transport donations Maintain cleanliness and organization of the donation area, storage spaces, and facilities through routine cleaning and maintenance tasks Perform minor repairs, upkeep, and general handyman duties on donated items and the facility to maintain safety and functionality Support receiving activities by preparing items for distribution or storage Collaborate with team members on merchandising efforts and stock replenishment to optimize display areas and inventory control Communicate effectively with team members Assist with retail sales activities when necessary, including supporting retail floor operations Qualifications Proven warehouse experience Ability to operate warehouse equipment and hand tools safely Attention to detail and general maintenance tasks experience Physical ability to perform heavy lifting occasionally, stand for extended periods and negotiate steps safely Excellent communication skills Experience in retail sales is advantageous Demonstrated ability to perform cleaning duties efficiently while maintaining safety standards Friendly demeanor with strong customer service skills; capable of engaging positively with donors, volunteers and customers of all backgrounds Join us in making a difference by combining your hands-on skills with your passion for community service!
