Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic hospitality team as a Hotel Maintenance Engineer, where your expertise will keep our property running smoothly and efficiently. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a wide range of hotel facilities, ensuring a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for guests and staff alike. Your proactive approach and technical skills will help uphold the highest standards of facility operations, contributing to an exceptional guest experience every day. Responsibilities Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning), and structural systems to ensure optimal operation. Troubleshoot and repair issues related to electrical systems, including the use of schematics, ohmmeters, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs). Conduct welding and residential painting tasks as needed to maintain the property's appearance and safety standards. Read and interpret technical schematics and mechanical drawings to diagnose problems accurately. Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track work orders, maintenance schedules, and inventory management. Supervise or assist with facilities maintenance projects, including supervising team members or contractors when necessary. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards while performing repairs or installations. Lead small teams during maintenance projects, demonstrating leadership skills while fostering a collaborative work environment. Provide excellent customer service by addressing maintenance requests promptly and professionally. Qualifications Proven experience in facilities or building maintenance within a hospitality or manufacturing environment. Strong electrical experience with knowledge of schematics, PLCs, and troubleshooting electrical circuits using tools like ohmmeters. Mechanical knowledge including HVAC systems, plumbing, welding techniques, and general building repairs. Ability to read technical schematics and mechanical drawings accurately. Experience with CMMS software for maintenance tracking is preferred. Supervising or leadership experience in a maintenance setting is advantageous. Excellent communication skills in English to coordinate effectively with team members and vendors. Residential painting skills are a plus for property aesthetic upkeep. Knowledge of safety protocols related to facilities maintenance operations.
