Jay Raman Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and skilled Hotel Maintenance Engineer to ensure the seamless operation and upkeep of our hotel facilities. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of building systems and equipment to provide a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for our guests and staff. Your expertise will help uphold the highest standards of facilities maintenance, ensuring all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and interior systems function efficiently. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your technical skills in a dynamic hospitality setting while contributing to an exceptional guest experience. Responsibilities Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC systems, electrical equipment, plumbing systems, and building interior components to ensure optimal performance. Diagnose and repair mechanical issues using schematics, technical manuals, and your knowledge of facilities equipment maintenance. Conduct electrical work including wiring, circuit troubleshooting, and electrical equipment repair using hand tools and ohmmeters. Maintain plumbing systems by repairing leaks, clearing blockages, and replacing fixtures as needed to ensure safety and functionality. Carry out carpentry tasks such as repairs to doors, windows, furniture, or interior structures to uphold building integrity. Use programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation troubleshooting and system adjustments when applicable. Lead maintenance painting projects to maintain the aesthetic quality of interior spaces. Utilize schematics and technical diagrams for complex repairs involving HVAC systems, electrical circuits, or mechanical components. Manage maintenance painting projects and interior repairs with attention to detail and quality standards. Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to maintenance requests from guests or staff while maintaining professionalism. Keep detailed records of all maintenance activities, repairs performed, parts used, and safety inspections conducted in compliance with operational procedures. Qualifications Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a similar role within the hospitality or residential sector. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools and power tools for repairs. Electrical experience including wiring, circuit testing with ohmmeters, and electrical equipment repair. Knowledge of HVAC system repair, building interior maintenance, plumbing system maintenance and repair. Familiarity with schematics related to electrical systems, HVAC units, plumbing layouts, and mechanical diagrams. Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is preferred but not mandatory. Ability to perform welding tasks safely and effectively when required for structural repairs or modifications. Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and team collaboration. Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints accurately. Strong leadership qualities with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining high standards of safety and quality standards in facilities maintenance.
