About the Role As an Industrial Maintenance Technician, you will serve as a critical technical expert responsible for the reliability and performance of complex mechanical systems. You will play a vital role in minimizing downtime and optimizing plant efficiency through expert troubleshooting, precision fabrication, and proactive equipment maintenance. Responsibilities Execute comprehensive maintenance, repair, and installation of industrial machinery including conveyors, gearboxes, pumps, and material handling systems to ensure peak operational uptime. Perform advanced mechanical troubleshooting on hydraulic, pneumatic, and power transmission systems to resolve complex equipment failures. Utilize expert welding and fabrication skills to create custom components, structural modifications, and machine guards that enhance plant infrastructure. Conduct precision shaft alignments and mechanical calibrations to extend equipment lifespan and improve overall system reliability. Interpret complex mechanical blueprints, P&IDs, and technical schematics to guide effective repairs and system modifications. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to perform root cause failure analysis and implement long-term solutions for recurring mechanical issues. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, parts usage, and equipment history within the CMMS to support data-driven reliability improvements. Uphold the highest standards of safety by strictly adhering to LOTO, confined space, and fall protection protocols during all maintenance operations. Required Skills High School Diploma or GED. Minimum of 7 years of industrial maintenance experience in a heavy manufacturing or processing environment. Demonstrated proficiency in advanced welding (MIG/TIG/Stick) and precision fabrication. Strong working knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical power transmission systems. Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair industrial machinery independently. Experience reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and equipment manuals. Preferred Skills Technical degree or vocational certification in Industrial Maintenance or Millwright Technology. Hands-on experience with laser alignment tools and precision measuring instruments. Prior experience utilizing CMMS software for work order management and documentation. Basic understanding of industrial electrical systems and motor controls.
