Job Description

Job Summary Local Cuts is a growing USDA-inspected meat processing facility seeking a dependable, hands-on Facilities & Maintenance Technician to keep our equipment and facility operating safely and efficiently. If you enjoy solving mechanical problems, working with a variety of equipment, and taking ownership of your work, we'd like to talk with you. Responsibilities You'll be responsible for maintaining our production equipment, building, and grounds to minimize downtime and support daily operations including: Perform preventive maintenance on processing and packaging equipment Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems Maintain grinders, saws, mixers, vacuum packaging equipment, label printers, scales, and other production equipment Repair doors, docks, lighting, plumbing, walls, floors, and general building systems Maintain compressors, air systems, refrigeration support equipment, and utilities Complete welding, fabrication, and equipment modifications as needed Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to keep production running Maintain maintenance records and preventive maintenance schedules Order and organize replacement parts and maintenance supplies Coordinate specialized repairs with outside contractors when needed Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with USDA food safety requirements
