Maintenance Technician -
Boilers Please Provide:
Cover Letter Resume Three Letters of Recommendation This position will begin June 11, 2026. Position Overview The Maintenance Technician - Boilers provides operation, maintenance, and repair services for district boiler systems. This position monitors boiler operations, performs troubleshooting and repairs, assists other maintenance trades, and ensures that tools and materials are available to complete maintenance work safely and efficiently. Key Responsibilities Analyze blueprints, schematics, and drawings to determine installation and repair requirements for boiler systems. Monitor boiler systems and controls to ensure proper operation and safe performance. Perform routine and preventive maintenance including cleaning, lubricating, inspecting, and adjusting equipment. Diagnose system malfunctions and determine repair or replacement needs. Repair or replace defective parts, piping, and system components following safety protocols and manufacturer guidelines. Coordinate work orders and maintenance projects with supervisors and other skilled trades. Maintain tools, vehicles, and equipment used for boiler maintenance. Prepare documentation including repair logs, work orders, and maintenance reports. Purchase or request parts, tools, and supplies according to district procedures. Respond to emergency boiler system failures during and after work hours. Transport equipment and materials to job sites as needed. Participate in meetings, workshops, and training sessions related to maintenance operations. Perform other related duties as assigned. Job Requirements - Minimum Qualifications Skills Performing skilled mechanical maintenance tasks Operating hand and power tools safely and effectively Maintaining accurate maintenance records and documentation Knowledge Boiler systems and maintenance procedures Safety practices and building maintenance standards Methods and tools used in boiler repair and maintenance Abilities Follow written and verbal instructions accurately Maintain effective working relationships with staff and maintenance teams Analyze mechanical issues and implement solutions Maintain detailed maintenance records Responsibility Works under limited supervision using established procedures while maintaining district boiler systems and supporting facility operations. Work Environment Work requires significant physical activity including lifting, climbing, and extended standing. Duties are performed in mechanical rooms and facility environments with exposure to mechanical and environmental hazards. Experience Job-related experience within a specialized field required. Education High school diploma or equivalent. Required Testing None specified. Certificates and Licenses Valid Driver's License and evidence of insurability. Continuing Education / Training District required training annually Maintains certificates and/or licenses Clearances Mandated Reporter Training Criminal Background / Fingerprinting Check Reporting Relationship Reports to the assigned supervisor.
