What You'll Do:

Responsibilities of the Journeyman Plumber include, but are not limited to: Install, maintain, and repair plumbing systems and fixtures. Read and interpret blueprints and building plans. Troubleshoot leaks and monitor pressure systems. Use hand and power tools to fit, assemble, and test pipe systems. Ensure compliance with applicable codes and regulations. Collaborate with other team members to complete repairs and upgrades efficiently and effectively. General Maintenance & Trades Perform preventative and routine maintenance on plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and mechanical systems. Troubleshoot and repair building systems and components. Maintain and update service records using our Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Assist with minor construction and repair work across trades. Respond to emergency calls and assist during inclement weather or closures. Operate college vehicles and maintain accurate logs.

What We're Looking For:

Education Requirements:

A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Completion of a plumbing certification or degree program from a technical school is strongly preferred.

Experience:

At least four years of hands-on experience in plumbing and facilities maintenance, including knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and mechanical systems.

Licenses & Certifications:

A journeyman plumber license is required.

A valid Utah driver's license is required. Must obtain forklift certification within the first few months of employment.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in using hand and power tools, technical manuals, and mechanical equipment. Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project), and Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, etc.).

Problem- Solving Abilities:

Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently to diagnose and resolve maintenance and plumbing issues.

Communication & Teamwork:

Clear communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with other technicians, contractors, and campus personnel.

Organizational Abilities:

Strong skills in time management, multitasking, and organization to efficiently handle multiple responsibilities. Attention to
