ELM Utility Services is an EEO Employer – M/F/Disability/Protected Veteran Status ELM Utility Services, a nationwide team of more than 1900 employees, is looking for a motivated Meter Maintenance Technician to join our team in the Orem, Utah area. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working independently, staying active outdoors, and taking pride in high-quality work. In this role, you will travel to assigned job sites along established routes to inspect meter sets, remove corrosion, and repaint equipment as needed. You will have the freedom to manage your daily route and schedule within set guidelines, making this an ideal position for someone who is self-driven, dependable, and detail oriented. Starting wages for this position will be $23.00 per hour. Our Total Rewards Package Includes Company vehicle, fuel card, and cell phone are provided for you to take home each day. Company Paid Life Insurance Paid-Time Off (PTO) for vacation and sick time (Accrues up to 80 hours per full year and increases with years of service.) 6 Paid Holidays 401(k) plan Boot Reimbursement Program Elite Performance incentives Bonuses for milestone anniversaries Your specific duties in this role will include, but not limited to: Work independently in the field using your company vehicle as a mobile office Complete assigned routes and service requests each day Inspect meter sets and perform maintenance, including corrosion removal and repainting Manage your time efficiently to stay on schedule and meet quality standards Adapt to changing conditions and handle challenges as they arise Specific Qualifications For The Position Include Ability to walk up to 5 miles per day in all weather conditions Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and bend, stoop, kneel, and crawl as needed Strong time management and organizational skills Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities Flexibility and a positive attitude in changing work environments Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of underground utility construction and the local geographic area Computer skills and experience using GPS or mapping systems Ability to read and interpret maps Experience with delivery or route-based driving in a quota-driven environment Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED Valid driver's license with a good driving record Availability for weekend on-call duty, as needed Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug screenings Must be able to work on-call rotation and overtime as needed. This may include working on nights and weekends when necessary.
