Job Description
Come work with a great team in a fun, flexible environment! We're looking for a dependable, self-motivated Entry-Level Maintenance Technician to support the upkeep of our student housing properties near Utah Tech University and SUU. You'll gain hands-on experience by helping with routine maintenance tasks and assisting our senior maintenance techs as needed. This role offers flexible hours and is perfect for students or anyone looking for a job that fits around their schedule.
Responsibilities include:
Work closely with senior maintenance techs to assist with repairs and report any major issues Help with unit turns, including appliance checks, basic cleaning, and hauling small items Change air filters, light bulbs, and smoke detector batteries as part of routine upkeep Assist with basic door lock maintenance Clean exterior areas and interior common spaces weekly at each property Perform general property clean-up and light landscaping (pulling weeds, sweeping, picking up trash) Power wash around buildings and dumpster areas Complete minor paint touch-ups (spot painting only) Pick up and deliver supplies, tools, and parts Run occasional errands for the general manager Assist with assembling or moving furniture in student units or common areas Help manage inventory of maintenance supplies and tools Test and report on common area systems, such as laundry room equipment
Qualifications:
Reliable transportation Positive attitude and eagerness to learn new skills Comfortable using basic tools and working with your hands Able to work independently and follow instructions Physically capable of lifting and carrying heavy items Basic maintenance or handyman skills are a plus, but not required
