This position requires prior, hands-on garage door industry experience. Applicants without direct garage door installation or service experience will not be considered. The ideal candidate brings proven technical proficiency in garage door systems, a strong work ethic, commitment to safety, and the ability to deliver professional, high-quality service.
Expected work week:
35-45 hours , depending on workload and desired overtime. Key Responsibilities Install, service, and repair residential garage doors Install, service, and repair commercial garage doors Install, service, and repair rolling steel doors, dock equipment, and high-speed doors Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues involving springs, openers, tracks, motors, and related components Ensure compliance with all safety standards, regulations, and company procedures Maintain accurate documentation of work performed and materials used Provide professional customer service in residential and commercial environments Participate in ongoing technical training and certification requirements Minimum Qualifications - Required Minimum of 1 year of verifiable, hands-on experience in residential or commercial garage door installation, service, or repair (REQUIRED) Demonstrated ability to diagnose and resolve common garage door system issues Experience troubleshooting electrical systems for automatic door openers Proficiency with hand tools and strong mechanical aptitude Ability to perform overhead work, operate scissor lifts, and climb ladders safely Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy materials and equipment Ability to work independently and as part of a team At least 1 year of customer-facing experience (any industry) Fluent English communication skills (REQUIRED) Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (REQUIRED) Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening (REQUIRED)
