Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and skilled Dock Builder/Framer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing docks, piers, and related structures with precision and efficiency. Your expertise will help ensure the safety, durability, and functionality of waterfront and industrial projects. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects that require technical skill, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Duties Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to accurately execute dock framing and structural components Measure, cut, assemble, and install framing materials using hand tools and power tools with precision Construct concrete forms for foundations and pilings, ensuring proper alignment and stability Install fixtures such as cleats, fenders, ladders, and other hardware essential for dock functionality Perform demolition or restoration work on existing structures as needed, including masonry, plastering, or welding tasks Operate heavy equipment safely to move materials or assist in large-scale construction activities Conduct inspections during construction to ensure compliance with safety standards and project specifications Skills Proficiency in blueprint reading and schematics interpretation for accurate project execution Experience with carpentry, framing, roofing, concrete finishing, masonry, and related trades Familiarity with construction management principles including estimating and site supervision Skilled in the use of hand tools (hammers, saws, chisels) and power tools (drills, saws) for various tasks Knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems relevant to dock or waterfront structures is a plus Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently on construction sites Strong understanding of safety protocols and inspection procedures in construction environments Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive attitude toward troubleshooting issues during construction projects Join our team if you're passionate about building durable structures that stand the test of time!
