Job Description

Position & Reporting Structure This position will be based in Reedville, VA and reporting to the oil refinery (Health & Science Center) Assistant Plant Manager.
Shift:
Position will begin on day shift, with possible night shift work required. Prospective candidates must be available and able to work 7:00am-4:30pm, Monday-Friday schedule with possible weekend work as needed.
Responsibilities will include:
Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs on all refinery and facilities equipment at the Health and Science Center, refined oils. Set-up, operate and maintain equipment to ensure manufacturing goals are met. Operate Process Wastewater equipment, monitor chemical usage and quality/effectiveness of treatment process Responsible for training operator staff on manufacturing equipment maintenance, safety, troubleshooting and minor repairs Communicate equipment issues to management Attentiveness to detail, and willingness to learn and adapt to changes. Must be able to communicate and work effectively with other departments Willingness and ability to follow procedures and adhere to safety/sanitation protocol, to include participation in site safety committee. Ability to lift, pull, or push objects of at least 50 lbs and climb ladders to heights of approximately 80 feet. Willingness and ability to work in confined workspaces or around mechanical/electrical and chemical hazards. Complete other tasks and/or assignments as assigned or needed. Comply with all Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) rules and all Quality Feed/Food safety programs.
Education:
Required:
Minimum High School diploma or GED.
Page Break Experience & Qualifications:
2 - 5 years experience in equipment maintenance preferred, troubleshooting and repairs in a manufacturing environment. Knowledge of refinery operations or food manufacturing and automation is preferred. Knowledge of Process Wastewater Treatment and Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF) Process is a plus. Operational knowledge of and the ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, PLC, forklift and man lifts. PLC experience is a plus.
