Under the direction of the Facilities and Maintenance Supervisor, the Facilities and Machine Maintenance Technician 2 will independently perform general cleaning, inspection, adjustments, and repairs of CNC equipment and support machinery, and maintain building systems and infrastructure. Essential Functions 1. Perform tasks associated with scheduled, routine machine maintenance including disassembly, cleaning, inspection, and adjustment of machine mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, low-voltage electrical, and coolant systems. 2. Perform maintenance and repair work, machinery installations or moves, and provide status of maintenance and repair work to management. 3. Effectively diagnose machine errors, technical problems, and malfunctions, employing functional tests, inspections, measurements, trouble reports, and discussions with machinists. 4. Maintain complete records of equipment condition: maintenance, repairs, calibrations, tests and trend analysis, and efficiently present data to the management team. 5. Ensure that repairs are done according to manufacturer's recommendations. 6. Assist in the implementation of new processes and equipment as needed. 7. Utilize blueprints, manuals, and diagrams to coordinate and complete installation of equipment and components according to specifications. 8. Effectively maintain equipment used in coolant and metal recycling programs. 9. Must safely and effectively operate Fork Lift Trucks and manual lifting equipment in the process of installation, modification, or repair of industrial equipment. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities 1. Must create Standard Work Plans and other forms of visual work instructions to effectively convey maintenance requirements. 2. Must create maintenance checklists to ensure that its performed comprehensively and on time. 3. Must have a general understanding of the principles of industrial hydraulics, pneumatics, and low-voltage electrical circuits . 4. Must understand and use basic principles of rigging and movement of industrial equipment for installation, modification, or repair. 5. Must possess a detailed understanding of machine blueprints, diagrams, and schematics. 6. Must pass annual forklift operation certification. 7. Must accurately enter data in existing forms and documents, in common computer programs such Microsoft Word and Excel, and in PROMAN (MRP). Physical Job Requirements Normal or correctable hearing. Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time. Correctable vision to 20-20. Ability to lift 50 lbs either individually or with assistance. Minimum Qualifications 1. High School Diploma or Equivalent. 2. Washington State Driver's license. 3. Must speak, read, and write English at a 12th grade level. years previous experience with machinery or equipment maintenance. 4. 4 years previous experience with machinery or equipment maintenance. Desirable Qualifications Formal training or experience with CNC machine troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair.
