We are looking for someone who can independently complete common household repairs while also assisting with larger renovation projects when needed. Our current workload is strong, but hours may vary depending on project volume and scheduling. Responsibilities Drywall installation, patching, finishing, and texture matching Interior painting and paint touch-ups Trim, baseboard, and finish carpentry Door installation, adjustment, and hardware repair Flooring installation and minor flooring repairs Cabinet and countertop repairs Fixture replacement and minor plumbing repairs Light electrical work within your experience and permitted scope Rental turnover and punch-list work Carpet cleaning; training can be provided Demolition, material handling, jobsite cleanup, and general project assistance Picking up or transporting materials when assigned Taking clear before, progress, and completion photos Providing timely updates throughout the workday Maintaining clean, organized, and professional jobsites Required Qualifications Professional experience in residential repair, maintenance, remodeling, construction, or a related field Strong drywall, painting, and basic carpentry skills Ability to complete common household repairs with limited supervision Reliable vehicle and willingness to travel between jobsites throughout the Arlington-to-Tacoma service area Valid driver's license and current auto insurance Own basic hand and power tools appropriate for the position Ability to safely lift and carry construction materials Reliable attendance and professional communication Smartphone capable of sending photos, messages, and job updates Carpet-cleaning experience is helpful but not required. SafeRoute can provide training specifically for carpet cleaning. Applicants should already have experience with the other core repair responsibilities. Travel and Vehicle Policy Employees use their personal vehicles to travel between jobsites. Gas, mileage, and vehicle expenses are not separately reimbursed. Travel between jobsites and required material pickups during the workday are counted as paid working time at the employee's applicable hourly rate. For travel from home to the first jobsite, paid time begins upon arrival or after the first 30 minutes of travel, whichever occurs first. Compensation and Schedule Starting pay of $30 per hour Potential increase up to $35 per hour after the first 30 days , based on demonstrated skill, reliability, communication, and work quality W-2 employee position Project-based schedule with the potential for near full-time hours Weekly hours may vary depending on workload and project schedules SafeRoute covers job materials and specialized tools required for specific projects How to Apply Submit your resume through Indeed.
