Full-time Job Description:
Performs a variety of standard tasks in addition to maintenance including but not limited to operating machinery, saws, and mills. To be fully competent (unrestricted) in Maintenance requires sign-off for (1) Electrical, (2) Mechanical, (3) Hydraulics, (4) Welding, (5) Press work and use of Pullers and Drivers, (6) Painting, (7) Plant Systems.Competencies:
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to comprehend and apply reasoning ability, review and understand technical data within the provisions of the job scope, provide clear and precise written and oral communication, demonstrate knowledge and understanding of AVAF processes and procedures, ability to perform basic math calculations such as addition, subtraction, division and compute percentages.Responsibilities and Accountability:
- Trouble-shoots and repairs electrical problems
- runs circuits
- hooks up machines
- makes up electrical cords.
- Trouble-shoots and repairs mechanical problems.
- Trouble-shoots and repairs hydraulic problems.
- Fabricates and welds covers, structures, and tables.
- Uses hydraulic press and mechanical pullers to disassemble and re assemble apparatus.
- Understands the use & application of Heat and Refrigeration to shafts, bearings, and housing.
- Preps and paints covers, structures, and machines.
- Understands and maintains Plant Systems not limited to HVAC, Plumbing, and Structure.
- Performs Preventative Maintenance functions as described in AVAF procedures.
- Additional duties as directed by the department Supervisor.
