Maintenance Technician
  • Night Shift (Food Processing Facility) Location
  • Plymouth, WA Job Overview We are urgently seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our team in a fast-paced food processing facility.
This role is critical to ensuring production equipment operates efficiently, safely, and in compliance with OSHA and food safety standards. You will begin with day shift training and later transition to a night shift schedule , supporting ongoing operations through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and equipment installation. Key Responsibilities Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on production equipment to reduce downtime and maintain efficiency. Troubleshoot and resolve issues across electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and HVAC systems . Read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams for accurate repairs and modifications. Safely work with high-voltage systems (up to 480V, 3-phase) . Maintain and repair equipment including motors, pumps, conveyors, and packaging machinery . Ensure compliance with OSHA and National Electrical Code (NEC) standards. Respond quickly to urgent maintenance needs impacting production and safety. Maintain accurate maintenance logs and documentation of repairs and parts used. Support facility maintenance tasks such as plumbing, welding, painting, and general repairs. Assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment . Follow all food safety and sanitation protocols during maintenance work. Collaborate with production teams to improve equipment performance and reliability. Required Skills & Experience 3-5 years of industrial maintenance experience , preferably in food processing or manufacturing. Strong experience in electrical troubleshooting up to 480V (3-phase systems) . Knowledge of AC/DC systems, PLCs, transformers, motor controls, and Allen-Bradley components . Hands-on experience with mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems . Ability to read and work with technical diagrams and schematics . Experience repairing and maintaining industrial machinery and control systems . Basic welding and plumbing skills. Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work night shifts and overtime after initial training. Preferred Qualifications Experience in food processing environments . Familiarity with HVAC systems and facility maintenance programs . Experience with packaging lines, conveyors, and automated systems . Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance systems . Ability to manage multiple tasks in a high-demand environment . Why Join Us? Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Plymouth, WA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $26.35
  • $30.
00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
