Job Description

Our millwork company is growing, and we're looking for a dependable, motivated Door Hanger / Door Machine Operator to join our production team. In this role, you'll be responsible for taking doors from slabs through the hanging and assembly process, using our Norfield door machine and other shop equipment. You'll build and assemble jambs, install hinges and hardware, prep sand units for in-house finishing, and ensure every door leaves the shop in perfect condition. This is a hands-on position for someone who takes pride in craftsmanship, pays attention to details, and wants to build a career in the millwork industry. What You'll Do Operate our Norfield door machine to accurately machine and hang doors Build, assemble, and prep door jambs Install hinges, stops, sweeps and other door components Rout and prep doors and jambs for hardware Measure and verify dimensions to ensure doors are properly fitted Inspect finished assemblies for quality, fit, and appearance Read work orders, drawings, and production specifications Use hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment safely Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Work efficiently while maintaining a high standard of craftsmanship Communicate with other members of the production team to keep jobs moving What We're Looking For The ideal candidate: Has experience hanging doors Is mechanically inclined and enjoys hands-on work Has strong attention to detail Can accurately measure and follow instructions Takes pride in producing quality work Is dependable and shows up ready to work Works well independently and as part of a team Is comfortable working in a production/shop environment Understands the importance of safety and taking care of equipment Is willing to learn and develop new skills What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Full-time, steady work with a growing local company Training on our equipment and production processes Opportunity to learn a skilled trade and advance within the company A team-oriented work environment The opportunity to be part of a growing manufacturing business
About Our Millwork Shop:
We are a growing manufacturer and supplier of residential and light-commercial millwork in Western Washington. We manufacture doors and trim in-house and provide cabinets, countertops and hardware to builders and contractors throughout the region. We're adding people to our team because the business is growing. Pay:
$24.00 - $35.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
