This position supports production by maintaining and troubleshooting manufacturing equipment to minimize downtime and ensure maximum efficiency. The Sr. Maintenance Technician will play a key hands-on role in equipment reliability, working closely with Production and Engineering teams to maintain optimal performance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
Perform preventive maintenance on motors, pneumatics, conveyor systems, and production machinery Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic equipment to reduce downtime Dismantle and replace defective parts using hand tools, power tools, hoists, and cranes Monitor equipment performance and proactively address issues using appropriate diagnostic tools Work closely with Production and Engineering teams to assess equipment status and implement improvements Maintain accurate documentation of repairs, adjustments, and maintenance activities Assist in developing and executing preventative maintenance schedules Maintain inventory of maintenance parts and supplies, including ordering and tracking as needed Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain a clean work environment Train and support other technicians as needed Prepare and maintain maintenance reports, analyzing trends and performance data
Qualifications/Requirements:
Minimum 4-6 years of experience as a Production Maintenance Technician Strong troubleshooting skills with mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems Experience working with pneumatic actuators and cylinders Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and engineering specifications Familiarity with automation systems, robotics, sensors, fiber optics, and motors Experience using multimeters and standard hand tools for diagnostics and repair Previous experience in a manufacturing environment with the ability to work under pressure Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office Experience writing maintenance procedures and reports
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate or bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience Experience working in a GMP environment PLC knowledge and troubleshooting experience Experience performing equipment Installation Qualification (IQ) protocols
