$72,800 Responsibilities Perform electro-mechanical maintenance duties in a batching and drying SQF 3 processing facility, including preventive maintenance and breakdown support of equipment such as pumps, valves, pneumatic systems, electrical devices (sensors, PLCs, VFDs), conveyors, motors, boilers, refrigeration, utilities, and minor building/grounds work. Follow diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, manufacturer instructions, and engineering specifications to troubleshoot and repair malfunctions. Locate sources of problems by observing equipment in operation, listening for issues, and using precision measuring and testing instruments. Dismantle devices and examine equipment for wear and damage, replacing defective parts with hand and power tools. Adjust control instruments and functional parts using hand tools, levels, and straight edges. Perform routine maintenance of building and grounds, ensuring safety and cleanliness in accordance with procedures and regulations. Communicate with management regarding everyday maintenance issues, monitor compliance, and document actions and irregularities. Maintain technical knowledge through workshops, publications, and networking. Ensure food safety and quality by following HACCP, Food Safety, and Food Quality procedures, including safety regulations such as
LOTO, SQF
standards, and OSHA compliance. Requirements High school diploma (HS degree) 3+ years of electro-mechanical maintenance experience in manufacturing or processing environments Preferably experienced in food, pharma, or SQF-regulated facilities Strong troubleshooting skills of mechanical and electrical systems Knowledge of pumps, valves, piping, pneumatic systems, conveyors, motors, PLCs, VFDs, sensors, and instrumentation Basic understanding of boilers, refrigeration, and plant utilities Experience with preventative maintenance programs (PMs) and CMMS systems is a plus Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings Hands-on skills with tools, diagnostics, and repairs Knowledge of SQF Level 3, GMP, or similar food safety standards preferred Understanding of lockout/tagout (LOTO) and safety practices Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting mindset Ability to handle small improvement projects and perform minor building/grounds maintenance Physical ability to lift 50 lbs, stand long periods, and work in hot, cold, and noisy conditions System One, and its subsidiaries including Joulé and Mountain Ltd., are leaders in delivering outsourced services and workforce solutions across North America.
