Maintenance Technician (Machine Set Up)

Dairyfood USA, one of the largest specialty cheesemakers in North America, is currently hiring a 3rd shift Machine Set Up Technician at our production facility located in the heart of America's Dairyland, Blue Mounds, WI.

Job Purpose:

Performs machinery set-up prior to shift start-up to include preventative maintenance, changeovers, troubleshooting and sanitation.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Effectively disassemble, re-assemble, adjust, program, and set up equipment as needed to produce the customers' products within the desired specifications. Ensure effective operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on production machines and associated equipment; follow diagrams, sketches, operating manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specs. Inspect machines regularly and trouble-shoot malfunctioning equipment, including visual inspections, listening for irregular noises and conducting scheduled testing as appropriate. Set up all scheduled machines in a safe and efficient manner. Communicate regularly with maintenance and production management to understand issues/concerns/changes in equipment safety, quality, and productivity. Propose and implement solutions for malfunctioning machinery and equipment. Clean, sanitize kit and stage parts and equipment (overheads, pumps, etc.) as production needs to perform product changeover and set up in a timely manner. Organize and stage non-sanitized parts for production changeover in a timely manner. Ensure that parts and equipment are inspected after sanitation and prior to staging. 3rd shift shift hours are 10:00 pm - 7:30 am, Sunday to Thursday. Friday shifts are required as needed and feature a double time shift premium. Experience in a food processing facility is highly desired.
