A Building and General Maintenance Technician performs building maintenance and appliance repairs for an apartment complex, housing division, residential center or business, as directed by a property manager.
10+ Months Job Summary The Maintenance Technician IV is responsible for providing maintenance support across Production, Quality, R&D, and facility operations. This role ensures that equipment, utilities, and building systems remain safe, reliable, and fully operational. The ideal candidate will possess strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills and be capable of performing preventive maintenance, corrective repairs, and project support activities in a regulated manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Corrective Maintenance Perform advanced mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and facility repairs on equipment and building systems. Troubleshoot and resolve equipment failures and facility-related issues. Identify and correct potential safety hazards to prevent injuries and operational disruptions. Complete, document, and close maintenance work orders using SAP-PM GUI and SAP Fiori. Preventive Maintenance Execute scheduled preventive maintenance activities on production equipment and facility systems. Conduct routine inspections to ensure equipment reliability and compliance. Update, modify, and maintain equipment procedures and maintenance documentation. Train personnel on maintenance procedures and best practices as needed. Verify proper completion and closure of preventive maintenance tasks in SAP-PM. Equipment & Program Support Support Facilities, Engineering, and R&D teams with equipment installation, maintenance, and improvement projects. Assist in developing and maintaining spare parts inventory programs. Provide technical expertise for equipment and facility upgrades. Project Coordination Coordinate and oversee small-scale maintenance and facility projects. Work with external contractors and vendors to ensure timely and successful project completion. Monitor project progress, quality, and safety requirements. On-Call Support Participate in the maintenance department's on-call rotation. Respond to emergency maintenance needs during off-hours, weekends, and holidays as required. Support critical repairs that cannot be completed by the on-call technician alone. Required QualificationsEducation Associate's Degree in Industrial Technology, Electrical Technology, Automotive Technology, Facility/Equipment Maintenance, or a related field; OR Trade School Certification in a related discipline; OR Equivalent combination of education and extensive maintenance experience. Experience Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in one or more of the following trades: Electrical Mechanical HVAC Plumbing Industrial Maintenance Broad experience supporting building and facility maintenance operations. Licenses & Certifications Valid Driver's License required. Preferred Qualifications Certified Stationary Engineer License. Experience working in manufacturing, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or regulated environments. Experience with

Fiori, or other CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
