Job Description
Perform various Preventive and Corrective Maintenance tasks to maintain and repair equipment and systems. This includes mechanical, electrical, controls, and pneumatic components. Apply analytical and manual skills in inspecting, maintaining, installing, calibrating, troubleshooting building systems and equipment. Operate high pressure boilers, chillers, and generators. Use a variety of machines, hand tools, and test equipment commonly used by Technicians including, but not limited to, multimeters, airflow hoods, flowmeters, and gauges. Must be able to prioritize work to see the needs of the patient come first. Complete work orders as assigned and in a timely manner. Record work time electronically in a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Maintain inventory and recommend supplies and equipment for purchase. Attend and participates in classes, seminars, workshops, and other continuous education as appropriate to enhance professional knowledge and skills. Perform utility management. All other duties as assigned by supervisor. Technicians perform work with minimal supervision. Night shift 6PM to 6AM, Set 2-3-2 schedule. Every other weekend. Minimum 2-year associate's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Plumbing trade or Healthcare Mechanic Certification. Or, completion of Mechanical, Electrical, or Plumbing trade apprenticeship program or equivalent. Or, 3-years' experience in a related field. 4 years of military experience in a related field may also be considered in lieu of the educational and experience requirements. Driver License is required.
