Non-Exempt Position Summary Palmer Hamilton, LLC is seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician to support our manufacturing operations in Elkhorn, Wisconsin. This hands-on role is responsible for performing preventative, routine, and emergency maintenance on manufacturing equipment, vehicles, and facilities to ensure safe, efficient, and uninterrupted operations. The ideal candidate brings strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting expertise, takes pride in maintaining high standards, and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on company vehicles and mobile equipment, including forklifts, man lifts, and trucks. Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair plant equipment including CNC machine tools, automated systems, power tools, presses, cranes, and compressed air systems. Conduct facility maintenance including HVAC, plumbing, sprinkler systems, lighting, fencing, and office furniture. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues. Document maintenance work and order necessary parts and supplies. Support facility improvement and equipment relocation projects. Maintain compliance with safety standards and company policies. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment. Perform other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills. Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals. Working knowledge of CNC equipment and manufacturing systems. Basic PLC and ladder logic knowledge. Proficiency with diagnostic tools such as voltmeters and AC drives. Ability to safely operate forklifts, cranes, and power tools. Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. Qualifications Minimum of five (5) years of industrial, mechanical, or electrical maintenance experience OR equivalent education. Experience with electrical wiring, components, and diagnostics. Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record. Education and Certifications Two-year degree or technical certificate in Industrial Maintenance or related field preferred, or equivalent work experience. Why Join Palmer Hamilton?
