You will be part of a team who ensures that your colleagues have the best physical resources available to complete their duties according to budget. A great maintenance engineer will have a solid understanding of plumbing and basic electrical systems, as well as pool maintenance, carpentry, and other crafts. They will be well-versed in the maintenance process and health and safety regulations. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye on the buildings condition as well as great communication between departments to ensure the tasks are completed. The goal is to ensure the company facilities are well-cared for and adequate to support the company's business operations. Duties We are looking for a reliable Maintenance Engineer to help our Chief Engineer oversee all installation, repair and upkeep operations of the company's facilities. A great maintenance engineer will have a solid understanding of plumbing and basic electrical systems, as well as pool maintenance, carpentry, and other crafts. The goal is to ensure the company facilities are well-cared for and adequate to support the company's business operations. As a team, ensure maintenance procedures are being followed and adhered to. Carry out inspections of the facilities to identify and resolve issues. Check and maintain hotels pool chemicals and condition. As a team, oversee all repair and installation activities. Perform Preventative Maintenance in all hotel guest rooms and public areas. Monitor equipment inventory and keep equipment in top shape. Monitor expenses and report needs to Chief Engineer. Keep maintenance logs and report on daily activities. Ensure health and safety policies are complied with. Respond to radio calls for guest needs and deliver solutions to maintenance related issues. Basic appliance repair and upkeep. Walk the property and ensure cleanliness and tidiness at all times. Requirements Guest-focused with an exceptional attitude. Ability to perform task-oriented repetitive functions accurately, consistently, on-time, and error free. Prior hotel, building, or apartment maintenance is preferred. CPO Certified is a plus!
