- 38/hr Key Responsibilities Perform preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production equipment, with a strong focus on electrical systems.
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair PLCs, VFDs, control panels, sensors, and other electrical components. Support mechanical maintenance including conveyors, mixers, pumps, ovens, packaging, and refrigeration systems. Ensure compliance with food safety, GMP, SQF, and OSHA standards during all maintenance activities. Assist with installation, modification, and upgrades of new equipment and automation systems. Maintain accurate maintenance logs, records, and work orders using CMMS. Collaborate with production, sanitation, and quality teams to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency. Participate in root cause analysis, continuous improvement, and safety initiatives.
Qualifications Required:
3+ years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in food or beverage manufacturing . Strong electrical troubleshooting skills (motors, PLCs, VFDs, sensors, 480V/3-phase systems). Solid understanding of mechanical systems, pneumatics, and hydraulics. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and manuals. Familiarity with GMPs, food safety, and sanitation requirements. Willingness to work flexible hours, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed.
Preferred:
Technical degree, trade school, or journeyman certification in industrial maintenance, mechatronics, or electrical systems. Experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs and industrial automation. Previous CMMS system experience. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement practices.
