  • 36/Hour (Based on experience) CMI Management is a local and privately owned property management company that is seeking a maintenance technician to join our team.
We offer an excellent downtown work environment, competitive wages, and benefit package. This position is primarily focused on diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining building systems, appliances, and mechanical equipment across our residential and commercial property portfolio. We are looking for someone who takes pride in solving problems, working independently and in a team setting, and delivering high-quality repairs. The ideal candidate has experience across multiple trades and can confidently handle a variety of maintenance challenges.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
May include any of the following:
HVAC & Mechanical Systems:
Perform routine maintenance on furnaces, air conditioners, exhaust systems, and ventilation equipment Troubleshoot heating and cooling issues. Replace filters, belts, motors, thermostats, and other common components. Assist with mechanical equipment repairs and preventative maintenance.
Appliance repair and troubleshooting:
diagnose and repair residential appliances including refrigerators, dishwashers, ranges, ovens, washers, dryers, and microwaves. Identify root causes of equipment failures and perform effective repairs Coordinate warranty service and parts procurement when necessary
Plumbing:
Repair and replace faucets, toilets, sinks, disposals, and plumbing fixtures. Diagnose leaks, drainage issues, and water supply problems Perform minor piping repairs and fixture installations.
Electrical:
Troubleshoot electrical issues including outlets, switches, lighting, breakers, and controls Replace fixtures, ballasts, switches, outlets, and related components. Maintain compliance with safety standards and applicable codes.
General Building Maintenance:
Diagnose and repair building-related maintenance issues. Respond to service requests in a timely and professional manner. Document completed work and communicate repair recommendations.
SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES
(As needed) When primary maintenance priorities are caught up, technicians assist with property upkeep and improvement projects, including: Drywall repairs and patching Painting Common area maintenance Property cleanup and curb appeal projects Trash and debris removal Basic carpentry repairs Grounds maintenance assistance Unit turnover preparation Miscellaneous projects assigned by management
Qualifications:
Experience in maintenance, facilities, property management, construction, or related trades Working knowledge of appliance repair, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks Professional communication and customer service skills Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical tasks including climbing ladders, kneeling, and working in confined spaces Any trade certifications are welcomed but not necessary
Position Details:
  • 8:00-5:00 Monday through Thursday, 8:00-3:00 Fridays
