Description:
As a maintenance technician you will perform work involving the skills of two or more maintenance or craft occupations to keep machines, mechanical equipment, or the structure of an establishment in repair. Duties may involve pipe fitting, insulating, welding; machining; carpentry, rebuilding or replacing pumps, repairing electrical or mechanical equipment; installing, aligning, and balancing new equipment.
Essential Job Functions:
Repair or replace defective equipment parts, using hand tools and power tools, and reassemble equipment. Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, or the physical condition of buildings does not deteriorate. Inspect drives, motors, and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, or perform other maintenance actions, following checklists. Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches, to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices. Assemble, install or repair wiring, electrical and electronic components, pipe systems and plumbing, machinery, and equipment. Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs as necessary. Inspect, operate, and test machinery and equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions. Record type and cost of maintenance or repair work using our maintenance management system Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery. Dismantle devices to access and remove defective parts, using hoists, cranes, hand tools, and power tools. Fill out proper documentation in accordance to customer specification and government agencies Aid other employees to maintain a safe process and quality product Follow Safety Procedures Maintain clean work environment Comply with all processes and procedures of
SQF 2000
to assure a safe, quality product
Minimum Qualifications:
Experience:
1-2 years as an industrial Maintenance Technician.
Preferred Qualifications:
Education:
Certification from Vocational School; associated degree in industrial/mechanical technology; education not required if have sufficient experience.
Experience:
2-5 years in manufacturing position (with education); 4-10 years of maintenance related position (without education)
Physical Requirements:
Twisting, bending, and squatting with 50lbs object in hand Lifting 60 lbs. from the ground Good finger/hand/multi-limb dexterity
Schedule:
We have 2 different shifts available. 4pm-12am. Sunday-Saturday. Every other weekend off. 12am-8am. Sunday-Friday. Every Saturday off and every other Friday off.
Benefits:
Wage open based upon experience Starting at $ 29.00 per hour $3.00 Shift Premium 6pm-6am. Monday-Friday.
