Job Description

Patriot Properties is seeking a dependable, skilled, and detail-oriented Hybrid Technician to support our multi-family residential and short-term rental properties. This role combines maintenance, apartment renovations (carpentry), and cleaning responsibilities , playing a key part in preparing units for occupancy, maintaining property standards, and supporting day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, adaptable, and takes pride in delivering high-quality work across a variety of tasks. This position is well-suited for someone who enjoys a mix of hands-on technical work and maintaining clean, move-in-ready spaces. Schedule Monday -
Friday:
8:00 AM - 4:30 PM 30-minute unpaid lunch On-call weekend schedule required Full-time (40 hours per week) Key Responsibilities Maintenance & Repairs Complete daily work orders in occupied and vacant units Troubleshoot and repair appliances (refrigerators, stoves, dishwashers, etc.) Perform basic plumbing, electrical, drywall, and general maintenance Replace light fixtures, HVAC filters, and handle minor repairs Participate in on-call rotation as required Renovation & Carpentry (Unit Turns) Perform interior demolition of apartment units Install LVP flooring (glue-down systems) Install replacement windows Complete interior painting (walls, ceilings, trim) Install appliances, toilets, shower surrounds, and blinds Perform minor drywall repair and finishing work Prepare units for move-in readiness with high attention to detail Cleaning & Property Support Clean and prepare apartment units after move-outs Clean and maintain common areas (hallways, stairwells, grounds) Prepare and clean short-term rental units Assist with carpet cleaning and floor care Assist with apartment showings and provide unit access to prospects Maintain overall property cleanliness, safety, and presentation General Responsibilities Travel between multiple properties as required Use smartphone-based systems for work orders, communication, and documentation Maintain organized, safe, and clean work areas Communicate professionally with residents, guests, and team members Adapt to changing daily priorities and property needs Qualifications 2+ years of experience in apartment maintenance, renovations, or related field Strong skills in flooring, carpentry, basic plumbing, painting, and general repairs Experience with cleaning, unit turns, or hospitality/housekeeping preferred Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship Comfortable in a hybrid role (maintenance, renovations, and cleaning) Ability to safely use hand and power tools Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required Ability to lift 50+ pounds Proficient with smartphone apps, texting, and email Benefits Health, dental, and vision insurance Life insurance Short-term and long-term disability Paid Time Off (PTO) Employee referral program Flexible scheduling Mileage and travel reimbursement Additional Information Work across multiple property types and locations Consistent, year-round work with a steady pipeline of projects Opportunities for advancement and growth within Patriot Properties Professional, team-oriented environment Equal Opportunity Employer Patriot Properties is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to creating an inclusive workplace.
