In this role, you perform painting, plumbing, landscaping, carpentry, and preventive maintenance and repair duties. It's also your responsibility to sanitize various surfaces, refinish floors, clean windows, and attend to any other maintenance issues that fall within your skillset. This includes some janitorial or cleaning experience, handyman skills, and basic knowledge of plumbing and carpentry. On-the-job training is provided as needed. Responsibilities Promote Harvest Home senior Living Services mission and philosophy in daily work. Clean various surfaces and areas, including tabletops, floors, furniture, and windows Oversee building maintenance needs Refinish floors as needed Fix minor issues related to electricity, plumbing, and other systems Keep equipment in working order and report any repair needs beyond your scope Stocks and organizes house supplies Assists with transportation of residents as needed Willingness to be on-call for after hour emergencies Qualifications High school diploma or GED certificate Professional appearance and demeanor Ability to problem-solve General understanding and ability to work with the elderly population and those with dementia Willingness to learn Some cleaning, janitorial, or maintenance experience (preferred) Skills in or knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, and HVAC systems (preferred) Attention to detail Physical stamina to work on your feet and lift/move equipment Valid driver's license CBRF training as required by Wisconsin DHS
