Description Maintenance Technician Pay Rate- $24-$40/hour Position Summary The Maintenance Technician is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining equipment, machinery, and facility systems to ensure safe and efficient operations. This role performs preventive maintenance, responds to equipment breakdowns, and supports continuous improvement efforts to minimize downtime and maintain productivity. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment, machinery, and facility systems. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electronic equipment issues. Repair, replace, and adjust machinery components as needed. Conduct routine inspections to identify potential equipment failures and safety concerns. Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, blueprints, and work orders. Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, and documentation. Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and emergency repair requests. Install, test, and commission new equipment and machinery. Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and maintenance procedures. Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and organized condition. Collaborate with operations, production, and management teams to improve equipment reliability and performance. Assist with facility maintenance, including HVAC, plumbing, lighting, and building systems as required. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Technical training, vocational certification, or associate degree in Maintenance, Electrical Technology, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field preferred. Previous maintenance experience in manufacturing, industrial, commercial, or facility environments preferred. Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC systems. Ability to read and interpret technical documents and schematics. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Basic computer skills and ability to use maintenance management systems (CMMS) preferred. Required Skills Mechanical aptitude and technical proficiency. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities. Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and reach for extended periods. Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly, with heavier lifting assisted as needed. Ability to work in varying temperatures, noise levels, and industrial environments. Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment safely. Work Environment Manufacturing, warehouse, industrial, or commercial facility setting. May require overtime, weekends, on-call coverage, or shift work based on operational needs. Exposure to moving machinery, electrical systems, and other industrial hazards while adhering to safety protocols. Qualifications High School Diploma required; Associate's degree in a technical field preferred 1-3 years of experience in a related field required Physical requirements: Ability to lift/carry 25-50lbs, stand/walk for 8+ hours.
