Part-Time Industrial Maintenance

Summary The Maintenance Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing machinery on a part-time basis. This is a light maintenance position in a clean and quiet factory environment. Hours may be scheduled based on operational needs and maintenance demands. Responsibilities Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot production equipment. Create requisitions for equipment and supplies needed to maintain machinery. Perform basic welding repairs as required. Conduct general maintenance of the building and grounds. Assist with set-up of basic fabrication equipment. Ensure all equipment is properly guarded and report safety concerns to the Director of Operations. When repairs or installations cannot be completed internally, obtain quotes from outside contractors and assist with overseeing contractor work. Perform other related duties as assigned by the Director of Operations. Requirements High School Diploma or GED required, or equivalent work experience. Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing maintenance experience. Basic electrical knowledge required. Hydraulics and pneumatics experience is a plus. Ability to read and understand schematics, pneumatic diagrams, and electrical drawings. Strong problem-solving skills. Basic understanding of manufacturing processes. Ability to frequently handle materials and tools at floor-to-waist, waist-to-shoulder, and shoulder-to-overhead levels, including pushing, pulling, and carrying. Ability to safely operate a forklift or other motorized vehicles in tight quarters.
