Foundry Maintenance Technician Location:

Maintenance Position Summary The Foundry Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on all foundry equipment, machinery, and building systems. This role helps ensure safe, efficient, and continuous operations by inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems in a high-temperature, heavy-industrial environment. Key Responsibilities Perform preventive maintenance on foundry machinery, including mixers, molds, sand systems, conveyors, baghouses, melting furnaces, shakeout equipment, and material-handling systems. Diagnose and repair mechanical failures, electrical issues, and hydraulic/pneumatic malfunctions. Conduct routine inspections, lubrication, and adjustments to maintain equipment reliability. Respond to breakdowns promptly to minimize downtime and maintain production flow. Complete daily maintenance work orders and document all repairs in the maintenance system. Assist in equipment installations, rebuilds, and upgrades. Maintain a clean and safe work environment following all OSHA and company safety standards. Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Safety to resolve equipment issues and support continuous improvement. Participate in weekend shutdowns, emergency call-ins, and overtime as required. Required Qualifications Previous industrial, manufacturing, or foundry maintenance experience preferred. Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot motors, gearboxes, bearings, chains, hydraulics, and pneumatics. Basic knowledge of electrical systems, including AC/DC circuits, sensors, and wiring. Ability to read technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, welders, and cutting equipment. Ability to work in high-heat, dusty environments and lift up to 50 lbs. Reliable attendance and ability to work independently or as part of a team. Preferred Qualifications Welding and fabrication experience (MIG, stick, torch cutting). Experience with baghouses, dust collection, mixers, and furnace operations. Knowledge of PLCs, VFDs, and basic electrical troubleshooting. OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification is a plus. Schedule & Pay Full-time, Sunday thru Thursday Competitive hourly wage based on experience. Overtime opportunities available.
