Job Description
Our company focuses on residential property management and investment. We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our property management team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs to ensure the smooth operation of our apartment buildings throughout the region. The role requires a strong mechanical background, and the ability to work independently. - Perform routine maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance, and carpentry repairs. Report to work in River Falls and/or Eau Claire, and travel to our sites in the region.
- Utilize computer and/or smart phone system to track and respond to tenant work orders.
- Unit turnover maintenance and junk removal.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
- Maintain the grounds around the building, lawn care and other general landscaping.
- Snow removal, including shoveling, salting and plowing
- Assist on site staff with testing and record keeping of all fire alarms. Maintain the integrity of the property to ensure safe conditions for tenants.
- Available on-call for after-hours emergency maintenance
- Conduct inspections and assessments to identify potential issues and recommend preventative maintenance.
- As needed tour apartments when other staff is unavailable to unlock a unit.
- Other tasks assigned Requirements
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance and repair.
- Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices.
- Strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to apply it in a variety of situations.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Physical stamina to perform tasks in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; In order to complete your job you will occasionally be required to perform physical tasks such as standing, sitting, walking, reaching, pushing/pulling, use arms, legs feet and hands in a repetitive motion, be exposed to outdoor weather conditions, operate mechanical machinery and equipment and be capable of lifting or carrying items weighing up to 50 pounds.
