Our core business consists of creating custom-designed security solutions for our customers. We install, maintain, monitor, and inspect a wide range of integrated building protection systems, including access control, video camera surveillance, fire alarms, and burglar alarms. We prioritize service after the sale because we want to ensure our security solutions exceed our customer's expectations, not just for today, but for years to come. e are seeking a dependable and motivated Low Voltage Technician to join our growing team. This position is ideal for someone with hands-on low-voltage experience who is comfortable working independently, working as part of a field team, and traveling regularly to project locations . The Low Voltage Technician will be responsible for the installation, service, troubleshooting, and maintenance of low-voltage systems while maintaining company quality and safety standards. Responsibilities Install, terminate, test, troubleshoot, and service low-voltage cabling and equipment. Perform structured cabling installations, including Cat5e, Cat6, fiber, and related infrastructure. Install and service systems such as: Video surveillance / CCTV Access control Intrusion detection Fire alarm systems, when properly licensed/certified Data and network cabling Other low-voltage systems as assigned Read and follow project drawings, plans, specifications, and scopes of work. Properly label, test, document, and maintain installed systems. Use hand tools, power tools, ladders, and lifts safely. Communicate project progress, site conditions, material needs, and potential issues to project leadership. Maintain company tools, equipment, and vehicles in a professional manner. Complete required job documentation accurately and on time. Follow company policies, customer site requirements, and all applicable safety procedures. Work cooperatively with project managers, coordinators, other technicians, subcontractors, and customers. Travel to job sites as required, including overnight and multi-day travel. Qualifications Previous low-voltage installation or service experience preferred. Experience with security, access control, surveillance, structured cabling, fire alarm, or similar systems is highly preferred. Ability to terminate and test low-voltage cabling. Ability to troubleshoot installation and equipment issues in the field. Ability to read basic drawings, schematics, and project documentation. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Dependable, organized, and able to work with limited supervision. Willing and able to travel frequently. Willing to work occasional overtime, evenings, or weekends when project schedules require it. Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record required. Ability to meet applicable customer and job-site requirements. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Ability to work from ladders and lifts. Ability to bend, kneel, climb, reach, and work in various field environments. Ability to work indoors and outdoors depending on the project. Travel Requirements This is a traveling technician position. Candidates must be comfortable with frequent overnight travel and working at project sites outside their local area. Travel schedules will vary based on project needs and may include multi-day or extended assignments.
